He is the 19-year-old son of one of Burma’s wealthiest tycoon, Tay Za. Tay Za is now one of the primary targets of new sanctions imposed by the United States due to his close link to the hated junta and is fighting to keep his millions. By cutting off Tay Za and other top businessmen’s access to sources of income that benefit the junta regime, the Bush administration hopes to hit the generals where it hurts most - their pockets.
However, Htet Tay Za appears to be disconcerned about his father’s plight or the situation in Burma. He is a student in the United World College of Southeast Asia in Singapore and appears to be living it up, judging from an email allegedly sent by him to his friends. The email, which has been widely circulated on the Internet and believed to be genuine, was accompanied with photos of him partying with pretty girls, saying: “US bans us. We’re still fucking cool in Singapore.”
The email continues: “We’re sitting on the whole Burmese GDP. We’ve got timber, gems and gas to be sold to other countries like Singapore, China, India and Russia. My brother is rocking on his red brand-new Lamborghini with hot sexy Western chicks… and I need another Ferrari to rock on.”
What can we say man… if the email is true, this guy is worst than Paris Hilton.
