A Beautiful Chemical Reaction

Seen on WIRED blog - a liquid that keeps changing colour non-stop - as if it can’t make up it’s mind on what colour it wants to be.

Damn cool! Reminds me of my secondary school days’ chemistry lessons! Chemistry was never one of my pet subjects, but I did enjoy fooling around with the chemicals in the lab like most other boys.

What’s even more amazing about this video - this spectacular demonstration was perfected by Thomas Briggs and Warren Rauscher, two high school science teachers, back in 1973. Now, over thirty-five years later, chemists are still trying to fully understand how it works.
